After 13 years, Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) is bidding farewell to one of its longest serving employees. We are proud to congratulate our receptionist Lucie Greene on her recent retirement.

Lucie began volunteering with Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) in January of 1989 and started employment with the agency in January of 1991. Lucie has been a part of much of our history, from the days at our Larch Street location, the move to Lasalle Blvd., and now our current Bancroft Drive location. She’s seen the establishment of a catering division, participated in countless fundraising activities; including the first of our annual wine event fundraisers, and continued to volunteer her time outside of her employment.

On Friday June 25th, 2004, both staff members and volunteers met at Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) to say their goodbyes to Lucie. Lucie received numerous cards, flowers, hugs and of course a retirement cake. After her final day of work, coworkers gathered to honour Lucie with a clock, followed by some refreshments and dinner at 100Georges.

In light of the years served, the staff of Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) would like to thank Lucie for her contributions to the agency and wish her the best of luck on her retirement and future endeavors.
