Meals on Wheels (Sudbury) is a registered non-profit charitable organization that relies heavily on donations from the general public. All donations are tax-deductible, and a charitable receipt will be sent to the donor within 48 hours upon receiving the contribution.
We are partially funded by the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care, but government funding only provides us with approximately 50% of the total funds required to maintain our current client services. The remainder of the required funds, approximately $50,000, is accumulated from client fees, donations, and fundraising, as well as partial proceeds from catering events done by Home of Our Own Catering, a division of Meals On Wheels (Sudbury).
